Foundational skills comprise a range of skills, knowledge and attributes that are essential to every individual. Such skills enable all to better adapt to new job demands and changing work environment. They are portable across all industries.
The ES WSQ Framework is now open for those keen to become Public ATO to offer ES training to employer-sponsored individuals.
WPLN credentials are recognised by companies and various training institutions as alternative qualifications to the GCE 'N' and 'O' levels for recruitment and admission purposes.
The Institute of Technical Education (ITE) is one of the first supporters of ES. Since January 2007, ITE has adopted WPLN certification as an alternative entrance requirement for Nitec courses.

The ES WSQ Chinese Workplace Literacy (CWPL) Programme was developed based on feedback received from industry partners regarding non-Mandarin speaking employees who need to improve their Chinese language competency for workplace usage. This programme will help individuals acquire the necessary Chinese language proficiency and help them to better handle workplace situations where the Chinese language is required.
