Certified Mechatronic Systems Assistant (Level 1)

Qualification Objectives:

The WSQ Certified Mechatronic Systems Assistant and Associate are internationally recognised programmes developed by Siemens Professional Education (SPE), Berlin.

Certified Automotive Maintenance Technician

Qualification Objectives:

The WSQ Certified Automotive Maintenance Programme aims to equip more than 1,000 NSF technicians annually during their 2-years national service. This collaboration signifies a milestone to support continuing education for SAF personnel. Under the partnership, non-graduate SAF personnel with GCE N levels, O levels, NITEC and Diploma servicemen will undergo PE WSQ which will equip them with skills in the repair and maintenance of SAF Type A (Track) an B (Landrover and Man-5 ton) vehicles. The certification is not funded by WDA. Trainees will receive WSQ Certified Automotive Maintenance technician Certification after their training.

WSQ Graduate Diploma in Precision Engineering

Qualification Objectives:

This programme covers manufacturing technologies that are relevant to and utilised by the PE-related industries in their manufacturing shop floors. In addition to the general manufacturers of PE products, the skills imparted by the programme will be relevant to other PE-related manufacturers include aerospace, med-tech, oil & gas, etc. The proposed programme will hence be applicable to all high-value manufacturing industries that are supported by PE. Some topics of the proposed modules supplement the current WSQ Specialist Diploma in PE to bring the trainees to a higher level of manufacturing skills. Other skills not included in the Specialist Diploma in PE but covered in the Grad Dip in PE include metallurgy and heat treatment, surface finishing, nanocomposite coating, nanocomposite moulding, energy beam joining, ultraprecision machining, and liquid forging.

The course is delivered by both local and international scientists from NIST (USA) with excellent track record in precision measurement.
