Financial Industry Competency Standards

Overview

The Financial Industry Competency Standards (FICS) was developed in partnership with the Institute of Banking and Finance (IBF), the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), leading financial institutions and industry associations.

The FICS framework covers various sectors such as Compliance, Corporate Banking, Corporate Finance, Financial Markets, Fund Management, General Insurance, Life Insurance, Private Equity, Risk Management, Securities & Futures and Wealth Management. It also spans from operational to transformational levels.

The FICS framework provides a roadmap to help existing and future finance professionals develop their competencies and advance their careers in the industry.

A statement of attainment (SOA) will be awarded to trainees after they successfully complete a competency unit.
