Overview

The Singapore Workforce Skills Qualifications System for Aerospace (Aerospace WSQ) maps out the skills needed for technicians in the aerospace maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) industry. Aerospace WSQ is fully supported by Economic Development Board (EDB) and Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS).

Aerospace WSQ benefits workers by creating an accelerated career path for aerospace professionals. For example, a non-certified technician who possesses a WSQ-aligned Specialist Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance & Engineering can become certified after gaining one year's work experience and passing CAAS examinations.

Technicians can also advance to become a licensed aircraft engineer through the WSQ aligned Foundation Degree in Aircraft Engineering.
